USD / HYDRA PIPELINE

Brutal Engine is built with a USD-first philosophy. The hdBrutal Hydra delegate allows the engine to function as a viewport renderer in any compatible application.

Supported Hosts

  • Solaris (Houdini): Full support for LOPs, karma-like integration.
  • Maya USD: Render directly from the Maya USD proxy.
  • Omniverse: Compatible via the Hydra backend.

Capabilities

Supports all standard UsdPreviewSurface features and custom schema extensions for Brutal-specific materials.
